Between The Greens And Under Blue Hues

I sit here in front of the computer listening to the birds chirping right out the window, taking my time to sip from my cup of black even though I know clearly well it's a work day. I'm still having the goods of yesterday and the weekend leading to that, still hanging in between the blues and greens of what nature has to offer.

We spent the morning at Palawan Beach yesterday and found ourselves surrounded with blue skies, awesome morning sun and lots of happy kids scurrying about with their sand toys. It's the perfect playground.

Baby girl found several ways to beat the heat and check it out, I have the coolest grandma rocking out a pair of $10 sunnies. She's a natural.

This was a stark contrast from a few days back where we spent the cloudy Saturday afternoon amidst the lush greenery of Botanic Gardens and strolled to the ends of Jacob Ballas.

The only similarity? Baby girl ended up getting wet. We had no idea about a water play area at Jacob Ballas so obviously we didn't pack along any towel. Once she was done, we had to wipe her dry with her tiny baby bib before we headed off to the malls in town. Thank goodness she's still... um, tiny.

And this one's a bit of a bookworm.

That's it. Gotta go and be ready for work. Speaking of which, coming home from it is top of my list. These days, as soon as I twist the keys and enter the doorway, she'll come running Mommie! Mommie! Mommie!! coupled with a hug or two. Baby girl is already up and shaking her little diaper-clad bootie to Yo Gabba Gabba's dancey-dance time. Happy midweek!
